Sales funnels are a methodical strategy for creating leads and then winning customers and it is generally divided into different stages. 

This funnel is typically depicted in the form of TOFU (top of the funnel), MOFU (middle of the funnel) along BOFU (bottom of the funnel). Some funnels go one step more and connect their phases with the phases in the buying process.

Some funnels mark their buyer stages as "Consideration,", "Awareness" and "Conversion." Other funnels use the more well-known "AIDA" (Awareness, Interest, Decision Interest, Decision Action).
